Our Leadership
Gaps Custom Milling is owned and operated by James N Gapinski “Gap”. Gap spent 25 years in the United States Airforce and retired after a decorated military career in 2005 to go onto his next adventure. Gap went on to co-own and operate several companies in the Glenwood Iowa area before semi retiring a few years ago. Gaps Custom Milling became his “retirement” project and has grown into one of his passions. From start to finish, Gap can be found at Gaps Custom Milling creating works of art, right from the nature around us. An added plus, Gap gets to work with fellow Veterans and friends, as well as his daughter Katelyn Uhing. From charcuterie boards, to Military plaques, and custom pieces, Gap will find a way to get the customer exactly what they’re looking for.
Katelyn Uhing, Gaps daughter, takes after her father’s entrepreneurial spirit. She has over sixteen years retail/hospitality experience. She works with customers and wholesale buyers to ensure they love each product from Gaps Custom Milling.
