Gap’s Custom Milling
Gap’s Custom Milling turns fallen or dead local trees into lumber you can use. We handle at least eighty percent of our raw material on site. First, we cut each tree into logs. Then we mill them on our sawmill, dry the boards in our kilns, and finish them in our workshop.
In our milling shop, we use bandsaws, table saws, planers, and sanding machines to shape boards to size. We also run jointers and drum sanders for smooth surfaces and uniform thickness. Each tool helps us meet your exact dimensions and finish standards.
Precision & Quality
Parts that need precise shapes leverage our CNC machines that handle wood and metal up to five (5) feet wide and ten (10) feet long. Those machines cut to within one-thousandth of an inch. That level of accuracy lets us produce both flat and fully three-dimensional pieces without fitting issues.
We also offer laser cutting and engraving for fine detail. Our bank of lasers can etch and cut almost any wood product with clean, crisp lines. We’re starting to add metal to our laser work too. Laser processing gives you small features and sharp edges that stand up to close inspection.
Our craftsmen set up every job and inspect each part before it leaves our shop. They combine hands-on skill with new techniques to keep our work efficient and accurate. By blending milling, CNC, and laser services, we give you reliable results and clear communication at every step.
